Though modding isn’t just to add bite-size content, it can lead to the entire creation of new franchises such as Day Z or DOTA. There has always been a healthy community focused around modding, but this is something that has never truly made it’s way to consoles. A healthy modding scene can sustain a game well past its initial launch year as usually only someone’s creativity is the limit to what you can add. Well there could be a mod out there somewhere that allows you to do just that. Soon you to could be enjoying the Nuka Cola gun, or the splinter cell mod, or maybe you’ve always fancied riding a Deathclaw around the wastelands chomping raiders.
These mods are created by PC players and ported over to your game, simply browse the soon to be added mods section, install them and away you go. You are able to use these mods to mold your Fallout 4 experience anyway you wish (as long as the change you fancy has been created that is). So what are mods and why are they important? Mods are community created content that can be installed to alter a small part of your game or you can use them to change the entire game. Major Nelson and Bethesda just have announced that Fallout 4 will soon have a function added to it that will allow you to modify your game.
Well now this aspect of community sourced fun is coming to Xbox One thanks to Bethesda and Fallout 4. Think of a game that’s out there and there’s probably a mod out there for it. If your happen to be PC gamer as well as an Xbox fan, you will probably already be very familiar with the size of the modding community and modding in general.
